Illustration in the heart of the Dolomites

An open-air museum that grows year after year

Lapis is an illustration and public art project: two days of festival every July, and a trail of permanent artworks that grows edition after edition across the hamlets of a mountain village.

What stays behind

The festival lasts a few days. The mark stays forever.

Every edition leaves a new artwork on the walls or in the spaces of the village: murals, but also permanent art installations. 11 stops, from 2021 to today, forming a single story that unfolds over time.

Whoever leads the festival has been here before

It's not a coincidence: it's how Lapis grows. Whoever leads the festival today first created an artwork in Sagron Mis before joining the artistic direction: find out how you can apply too.
